About the role
The Facilities Management and Safety Officer plays a key role in supporting day to day facilities operations across a busy multi site environment. This role coordinates building repairs and maintenance, assures cleaning quality, delivers essential administrative support, and builds strong relationships with stakeholders and contractors.
With a strong focus on safety leadership, the role develops and maintains policies, procedures, risk registers, and assessments that protect people and places. Working with broad guidance from the Team Leader Facilities, this position offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to make a real, visible impact every day.

About you
You are a proactive facilities professional with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and service delivery. Experienced in multi site environments, you confidently coordinate building maintenance, monitor cleaning standards, and manage administrative functions with attention to detail.
You build effective relationships with stakeholders and contractors and take pride in delivering reliable outcomes. With the ability to work autonomously under broad guidance, you bring sound judgement, strong organisation skills, and a commitment to creating safe, well managed spaces.
What your experience might look like
- A relevant tertiary qualification in facilities management and/or relevant experience in a related field such as building constructions and/or project management.
- Coordinating building maintenance, inclusive of essential safety measures, in a multi-site portfolio
- A sound understanding of occupational health and safety related processes and requirements.
- Demonstrated negotiation and verbal communication skills including proven ability to influence positive outcomes
- Experience and understanding in performance-based contracts
- A Victorian Drivers Licence
- Experience in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
