Midland City is experiencing an exciting period of growth and is seeking a motivated, hands-on and career-focused Assistant Service Manager to join our expanding Service Department.
Representing Hyundai, Kia, MG, GWM and Geely, with additional exciting brands joining the dealership in the future, this is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your automotive career.
Working closely with the Service Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy Service Department, leading and developing the team, driving operational efficiency and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
This role would suit an experienced Senior Service Advisor, Service Advisor or emerging automotive leader looking to progress into a management position.
The Role
As Assistant Service Manager, you will support the leadership and day-to-day management of the Service Department, including:

Supporting and motivating a high-performing team of Service Advisors and Technicians

Assisting with the efficient day-to-day operation of the Service Department
-
Driving productivity, efficiency and departmental performance
-
Ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining strong CSI outcomes
-
Supporting the management of service bookings, workflow and workshop capacity
-
Assisting with the resolution of customer concerns and escalated enquiries
-
Coaching, mentoring and developing team members
-
Working closely with the Service Manager to achieve departmental targets and business objectives

Ensuring compliance with company policies, manufacturer requirements and safety standards

Collaborating with other departments to deliver an exceptional dealership experience
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and ready to take the next step in their leadership career.
Ideally, you will have:

Previous experience in an automotive Service Department

Leadership experience or a strong desire to progress into a management role

Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

A hands-on and proactive leadership style

The ability to motivate, coach and develop a team

Strong commercial awareness and a focus on departmental performance

A commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience

Experience as a Service Advisor, Senior Service Advisor, Workshop Controller or similar automotive role will be highly regarded

A current and valid WA driver's licence
