Position: Bar Supervisor
Location: The Tap on Mitchell
Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Award/Salary: $83,000 per annum plus superannuation
State Date: Negotiable
About Us:
The Tap on Mitchell is a family-owned, fast paced alfresco dining venue that offers something for everyone. From café-style breakfasts to bustling lunches and lively dinners, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere where great food, cold drinks, and genuine hospitality come together.
Our venue is built around a beautiful established tree, creating a unique outdoor setting, with Crocosaurus Cove overlooking the venue, adding to the experience. We feature live music every night, serve an extensive range of cocktails – including our famous fishbowls- alongside ice-cold draught beer, alcohol-free options, and a menu designed to cater to a wide variety of guests. We also operate a gaming room, making us a diverse hospitality venue with something happening at all times.
As an entirely outdoor venue in the Top End, you’ll be working in tropical conditions year-round. The climate can be hot and humid, particularly during the build-up and wet season. We are looking for a person who will be comfortable working outdoors while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering exception customer service.
Our team also interacts with a diverse range of patrons and members of the public. Confidence, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential, as you will occasionally be required to de-escalate challenging situations professionally and respectfully while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
If you thrive in a busy, energetic workplace, enjoy working with people, and aren’t afraid of hard work, we’d love to hear from you.
