The Recovery Partner supports injured workers and their managers to navigate the workers’ compensation system and facilitate a safe, durable and sustainable recovery at work. The role provides support and expert guidance across all stages of workplace rehabilitation, ensuring timely coordination of services, removing barriers, and promoting best-practice recovery and injury management across NSW Ambulance.

About You
We are seeking a high-calibre Workers' Compensation Claims professional who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will bring extensive experience in managing workers' compensation claims, coupled with a genuine passion for supporting people through their recovery and return to work.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator with the ability to build strong, positive relationships with workers, employers, insurers, medical and allied health providers, and other key stakeholders. You will be solution-focused, proactive, and committed to identifying opportunities that support sustainable return to work outcomes.
Working collaboratively is at the heart of what we do. You will partner closely with our team of Recovery Partners, operational managers, insurers, and other stakeholders to develop effective strategies, overcome barriers to recovery, and achieve the best possible outcomes for injured workers. Your ability to influence, negotiate, and work collaboratively across multiple parties will be critical to your success.

What we're looking for:
Extensive experience in workers' compensation claims management.
A high-calibre professional with strong attention to detail. Highly organised with excellent administrative skills, including maintaining accurate and detailed case notes, managing claim documentation, and ensuring all records are completed in a timely and compliant manner.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
A genuine commitment to achieving timely and sustainable return to work outcomes.
The ability to build trusted relationships with workers, employers, insurers, medical practitioners, and other stakeholders.
A collaborative team player who enjoys working alongside Recovery Partners, operational managers, and insurers to deliver exceptional results.
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills with the ability to navigate complex claims and identify practical solutions.
The ability to effectively prioritise competing demands in a busy and fast-paced environment.
