About the role:
The Health Support Services Department is currently seeking Patient Services Assistants to join our team at Western Health.
Applicants must be available to work all shifts which include morning, afternoon, night and weekends as requested.
Key responsibilities:
The successful applicants will be highly motivated and dedicated to providing a high standard of cleaning, attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
About you:
- Certificate III in Patient Services Assistance
- A high level of physical fitness
- Patient Services orientated
- High standards and excellent attention to detail in all aspects of cleaning
- Ability to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner and prioritise workload
- Adopt a customer service approach in dealing with staff, patients and visitors
- Courteous, honest and professional manner
- Able to read and write English
- Demonstrated skills in communicating effectively with people
- Strong personal work ethic, initiative and service orientation

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
