About The Role
The Spectrum Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead and oversee our field maintenance teams across commercial landscape and indoor plantscape accounts. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, team performance, and client satisfaction across our portfolio of premium clients.
The Maintenance Supervisor will play a key role in upholding The Spectrum Group's reputation for excellence, coordinating day-to-day operations while fostering a positive, client-focused team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance staff across multiple sites
- Conduct regular team briefings, site visits, and performance check-ins
- Coordinate daily scheduling and route planning to maximise efficiency
- Ensure all staff present professionally in uniform and comply with OH&S requirements
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of maintenance personnel
Site & Service Management
- Oversee the maintenance of outdoor landscapes and indoor plantscapes across client sites
- Conduct regular site audits to ensure quality standards are consistently met
- Identify and resolve site issues promptly, escalating where required
- Manage equipment, tools, and vehicles — scheduling servicing and maintenance
- Ensure all site work is completed on time, to specification, and within budget
Client Relations & Reporting
- Act as a key point of contact for clients regarding maintenance schedules and service updates
- Prepare and submit detailed site visit reports and maintenance logs
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with client stakeholders
- Respond professionally to client feedback and resolve issues in a timely manner
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce and uphold all OH&S policies and procedures across all sites
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions for team members
- Ensure Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are followed and documented
- Maintain incident records and support investigations where required
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
- Strong knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance practices
- Experience with indoor plantscaping is highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple sites and competing priorities
- Current driver's licence (essential)
- Cert III or IV in Horticulture or Landscaping (desirable)
- Current First Aid certificate (desirable)

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
