Job Description
We are currently looking for a compassionate and reliable female Arabic-speaking support worker to assist a Male NDIS participant who has experienced a stroke. Support is required in both in-home assistance and community access.
This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, culturally aware, and has experience with stroke recovery or similar conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide domestic support such as light cleaning and household maintenance
- Support the client with community access (e.g. going for walks, attending appointments, or light shopping)
- Provide domestic support such as Meal preparation
- Communicate fluently in Arabic
- Promote independence and maintain the client’s dignity
- Ensure a safe and positive environment at all times
- Provide companionship and emotional support
Requirements:
- Female worker required (as per client's request)
- Fluent Arabic speaker
- Previous experience in disability, aged care, or stroke rehabilitation (preferred)
- Police Check and Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- First Aid and CPR (current)
- Driver’s licence and own vehicle (desirable)
