The applicant requires ongoing assistance from a Disability Support Worker to safely complete activities of daily living due to the functional impact of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Support is required with personal care, including showering and maintaining personal hygiene, meal planning and preparation to ensure adequate nutrition, and prompting and assistance with daily routines. The applicant also requires support to access the community safely, including attending appointments, shopping, recreational activities, social outings and developing community participation skills. A Disability Support Worker provides supervision, prompting, emotional support and assistance with communication, decision-making and social interaction, enabling the applicant to increase independence, participate in the community and maintain their health, safety and wellbeing. Ongoing support is necessary due to the applicant's permanent functional impairments in communication, social interaction, adaptive functioning and self-management.
Pay: $35.00 – $44.00 per hour
