At RSL Queensland, every ticket sold through Dream Home Art Union helps fund vital services and support for veterans, current serving Defence members and their families.
We're looking for an experienced operations and compliance leader to oversee the risk, governance and regulatory obligations that help ensure Dream Home Art Union continues to operate with integrity, transparency and trust. Based at ANZAC House in Fortitude Valley, you'll lead a specialist team and work closely with regulators, auditors and stakeholders across the business.
What you'll do
- Lead and develop the Operations & Compliance team
- Oversee lottery operations while maintaining strong compliance, risk and governance frameworks
- Ensure regulatory obligations are met, including licensing, permits, reporting and audit requirements
- Build strong relationships with regulators, auditors and key stakeholders
- Monitor business and operational risks and implement effective controls
- Support the integrity of lottery operations and draw processes
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and compliance practices
About you
You're an experienced operations and compliance professional who enjoys turning complex regulatory requirements into practical business outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Experience leading compliance, risk, governance or regulatory functions
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks and risk management practices
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment
- Confidence engaging with regulators, auditors and senior stakeholders
- Previous people leadership experience
- Strong communication, analytical and reporting skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Legal Studies, Accounting or a related discipline
Experience in liquor and gaming regulation, lotteries, wagering, financial services, insurance or another highly regulated industry will be highly regarded.
Lottery experience isn't essential. What's important is your ability to manage risk, navigate regulatory requirements and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a complex operating environment
