We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis in Gosford, NSW. Please note that our office based out of Gosford however we service the Central Coast region. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal goals and maintain their independence. This role involves providing direct care and assistance, helping clients develop life skills, and fostering meaningful community participation. The position offers flexibility with casual working arrangements, allowing you to build your hours around your availability whilst making a genuine difference in people's lives.
Key responsibilities
- Providing personal care assistance including hygiene, grooming, dressing and toileting support as required
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, shopping and household management
- Supporting clients to participate in community activities, social events and recreational outings
- Helping clients develop and maintain life skills to promote independence and personal growth
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of support provided and client progress
- Building positive relationships with clients and their families based on trust and respect
- Supporting clients to access healthcare appointments and other essential services
- Responding to clients' needs with sensitivity and adapting support based on individual circumstances
- Collaborating with other team members and external professionals to ensure coordinated and quality care
- Upholding duty of care responsibilities and maintaining a safe, supportive environment
What we're looking for
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and commitment to person-centred care principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
- Physical capability to assist with personal care tasks and mobility support where needed
- Reliability and professionalism in delivering consistent quality support
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible casual capacity
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before commencing)
- A valid Working With Children Check and National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within appropriate boundaries
- Previous experience in aged care, disability support or community services is advantageous but not essential – we welcome applicants with transferable skills and the right attitude
- A driver's licence and access to reliable transport is desirable for community-based support work
- Certificate III in Disability support or equivalent qualification or working towards one
Pay: From $35.15 per hour

- Certificate I - IV (Preferred)
