About the Role
Authentic Life Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Female Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to an NDIS participant located in Viewbank, Victoria.
This role involves assisting the participant with daily living activities, personal care, community access, and supporting their health, wellbeing, and social engagement goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including showering, grooming, and nail care.
- Support the participant with physiotherapy exercises and mobility activities.
- Assist with meal preparation, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks.
- Provide transport and community access support, including:
- Medical and allied health appointments
- Church attendance
- Visits to parks and recreational activities
- Gym and fitness appointments
- Support participation in physical and recreational activities such as:
- Netball
- Boxing exercises
- Walking and outdoor activities
- Meditation and wellbeing activities
- Arts and crafts, including painting
- Assist with light domestic duties, including dishwashing and maintaining a clean environment.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and report any incidents, concerns, or changes in participant wellbeing.
- Promote independence, choice, dignity, and community participation.
Essential Requirements
- Female Support Worker (participant preference)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check (if applicable)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support participants with personal care and community access requirements
Desirable
- Experience supporting participants with physical disabilities and high support needs
- Experience implementing physiotherapy or exercise programs under guidance from health professionals
- Experience working within the NDIS sector
