About the Role
dp Design Studio Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced, motivated and technically capable Architect to join our growing team at our Parramatta office.
We are an established architectural and interior design practice delivering residential and commercial projects across Sydney. Our work includes custom homes, luxury renovations, duplexes, multi-residential developments, childcare centres, medical facilities, commercial fit-outs and mixed-use developments.
The successful candidate must be capable of independently managing projects and completing architectural design, documentation, consultant coordination and approval work with minimal input or supervision from the Principal Architect.
Strong Autodesk Revit and professional-quality 3D modelling and rendering skills are essential requirements for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare architectural concepts, design development drawings and construction documentation
- Independently manage assigned projects with minimal input from the Principal Architect
- Produce accurate, high-quality architectural drawings using Autodesk Revit
- Prepare high-quality 3D models, architectural visualisations and presentation renders
- Prepare and manage DA, CDC and CC documentation packages
- Coordinate directly with clients, councils, private certifiers, engineers and specialist consultants
- Review and interpret NSW planning controls, the National Construction Code, BCA requirements and relevant Australian Standards
- Attend and manage client meetings, site inspections and project coordination meetings
- Coordinate architectural documentation with structural, civil, stormwater, BASIX, fire, access and other consultant documentation
- Identify design, planning and construction issues and develop practical solutions
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy, quality and agreed deadlines
- Support project delivery from initial concept through approvals, construction documentation and construction-stage coordination
About You
- Degree or recognised qualification in Architecture
- Minimum five years of relevant architectural experience, preferably within Australia
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects with minimal supervision
- Advanced Autodesk Revit skills are essential
- Strong 3D modelling, rendering and architectural visualisation skills are essential
- Experience using professional rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, Lumion, D5 Render or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of NSW planning controls and the DA, CDC and CC approval processes
- Thorough understanding of the NCC, BCA requirements and relevant Australian Standards
- Demonstrated experience across residential and commercial projects
- Strong architectural design, documentation, construction detailing and consultant-coordination capabilities
- Ability to communicate confidently with clients, consultants, councils and private certifiers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time-management and organisational skills
- Proactive, responsible and capable of identifying and resolving project issues independently
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines
- NSW architectural registration is highly regarded but not essential
- Full Australian working rights are required
- Willingness to work full-time from our Parramatta office
