Southpaws is seeking a motivated Junior Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian to join our growing team in Malvern, Melbourne.
Working alongside a highly experienced specialist-led ECC department, you'll be supported by a Criticalist (DACVECC), Senior ECC Clinicians (MANZCVS), dedicated ECC Veterinarians, and an exceptional team of ICU and Emergency Nurses.
This is an ideal opportunity for a veterinarian with strong clinical foundations and a genuine interest in Emergency & Critical Care who is looking to build their skills and confidence within a supportive referral environment.

The Role:
This full-time position offers a rotating roster across day, swing and night shifts, including one-in-two weekends. You'll work alongside and be supported by experienced ECC clinicians while managing a varied emergency caseload and continuing to develop your emergency and critical care skills.

About you:

You hold a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree

Eligible for registration with the Victorian Veterinary Board

You have strong clinical foundations and a genuine interest in developing your career in Emergency & Critical Care

You may be coming from General Practice, an internship, or have previous emergency or after-hours experience

Confidence working across a rotating roster including days, swings, nights and one-in-two weekends

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care

Experience with EzyVet and SmartFlow is an advantage, but not essential
