Adventures Preschool operates at three (3) different locations in New South Wales as under:
· West Pennant Hills;
· Pennant Hills; and
· Turramurra.
LOCATION: The position is based at Adventures Preschool and LDC Pennant Hills NSW 2120. It is a full-time position with minimum of 37.5 hours a week. Flexibility is required for overtime, shift work and during peak periods.
REPORTING TO: The position reports to the Centre Manager.
QUALIFICATION: Must hold Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) Bachelors degree or higher qualification in relevant field including at least one (1) year of full-time work experience or equivalent as an ECT or in a similar role in a developed country.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum one (1) year of full-time work experience or equivalent as an ECT or in a similar role.
· Oral and written communication skills of a level to take instruction and provide information to other staff, management, and owners.
· Ability to work and manage a team, also to work independently.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for an enthusiastic employee with the right skill set and experience to join our team.
· Planning and structuring learning in both indoor and outdoor environments using a variety of materials and equipment to facilitate child's development.
· Providing leadership in the development, implementation, and review of educational programs in partnership with the Educators, Curriculum Leaders and Centre Manager.
· Providing variety of experiences and activities to develop motor skills, cooperative
social skills, confidence and understanding.
· Promoting language development through storytelling, role play, songs, rhymes, and informal discussions held individually and within groups of children.
· Observing students to evaluate progress and to detect signs of ill health, emotional disturbance, and other disabilities.
· Observing nutritional health, welfare and safety needs of students and identifying
factors which may impede child's progress.
· Discussing students' progress with parents.
· Attending parent interviews, and staff and committee meetings.
· Supervising student teachers on placement.
· Acting in accordance with National Quality Standards (NQS) and company policies.
· Continual reflection and evaluation of curriculum.
· Reflecting and reviewing environments in relation to the NQS.
SALARY: A$79,423 – A$85,000 annual base pay + superannuation + Worker Retention Grant.
