Sure Smile Dental is seeking an experienced, organised and confident Senior Front Office Coordinator to join our friendly team in Coopers Plains on a full-time basis.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced dental receptionist or Front Office Coordinator who is ready to take on greater responsibility and play an important role in the day-to-day running of a small, well-established practice.
As the senior member of our team, you'll take ownership of the patient experience, appointment book and daily front desk operations, while also supporting the broader team with practice coordination and ensuring things run smoothly.
You'll work closely with the clinical team and practice owner, so we're looking for someone who is proactive, dependable and comfortable using their initiative.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and delivering a warm, professional patient experience
- Managing appointments and taking ownership of the daily schedule
- Coordinating patient bookings, recalls and follow-ups
- Answering phone and email enquiries
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records
- Supporting efficient patient flow and communication between the front office and clinical team
- Assisting with day-to-day practice administration and operational tasks
- Helping maintain front office systems, processes and standards
- Identifying issues before they become problems and helping keep the practice running smoothly
- Providing general support to the practice owner and team as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in dental reception, front office coordination or a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence managing a busy appointment book and competing priorities
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of your responsibilities
- The maturity and initiative to help coordinate the day-to-day operations of a small practice
- Confidence using computer systems and learning new software
- A positive attitude and collaborative approach to working with a close-knit team
Previous dental experience is strongly preferred, as this role is suited to someone who can step in with confidence and take on a higher level of responsibility.
If you're an experienced dental front office professional looking for more ownership and variety than a traditional reception role, while still remaining hands-on with patients and the front desk, we'd love to hear from you.
