Junior Land Surveyor / Survey Technician
AUC Surveyor Pty Ltd is a growing land surveying company based in Brisbane, Queensland. We provide a wide range of surveying services including topographic surveys, construction set-out, engineering surveys and subdivision projects.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Junior Land Surveyor / Survey Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be expected to independently undertake field surveying duties and deliver accurate survey data across a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently carry out field surveying work across various projects
- Operate surveying equipment including Total Stations, GPS and digital survey instruments
- Conduct site measurements and collect accurate survey data
- Perform construction set-out, topographic and engineering surveys
- Record and maintain survey measurements, field notes and data logs
- Assist with CAD drafting and preparation of survey plans
- Maintain surveying equipment and ensure proper field procedures are followed
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements on construction sites and field environments
Requirements
- Relevant Diploma or Degree qualification in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction, Geomatics or related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant land surveying experience in Australia or New Zealand
- Ability to independently undertake field surveying work and operate surveying equipment
- Experience using surveying equipment such as Total Stations and GPS
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work outdoors and travel to project sites when required
- Current driver’s licence preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Magnet Office, 12D or related surveying software is advantageous
- Mandarin language skills are advantageous due to our diverse client base
