We are seeking an experienced and passionate
Educational Leader to join our boutique, community-based 40-place early learning centre. This leadership role is ideal for a strong
Diploma or ECT-qualified educator with proven leadership experience who is inspired by early childhood theorists. The ideal candidate will have a passion for curriculum development and value strong, respectful partnerships with children, families, and the wider community.
The centre follows a play-based learning approach inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, with a strong focus on children’s voice, agency, creativity, and exploration.
About the Role
As the
Educational Leader & 2IC, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and support educators in high-quality, reflective practice
- Drive curriculum and pedagogy aligned with the EYLF and NQS
- Support the Nominated Supervisor with daily operations and leadership duties
- Embed Reggio Emilia, Froebel, and Montessori principles into learning environments
- Build strong, respectful relationships with families and the local community
- Support continuous improvement, quality improvement planning, and compliance
What We’re Looking For
- ECT or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection certifications
- Strong understanding of EYLF, NQS, and the role of Educational Leader under the Law and Regulations
- Proven experience mentoring and inspiring educators
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
- A commitment to inclusive practices and continuous learning
- Full Working Rights - this is a permanent role (Mon - Fri)
