Future Stars Whalan is seeking an experienced, passionate and motivated Nominated Supervisor / Assistant Director to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early childhood professional who is ready to lead a small, family-focused service where relationships, quality education and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.
Working alongside a supportive Approved Provider and Management Team, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the service operates in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS).
About the Role
As our Nominated Supervisor / Assistant Director, you will:
- Provide strong day-to-day leadership and support to educators.
- Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
- Foster a positive, respectful and collaborative team culture.
- Build meaningful relationships with children, families and the local community.
- Mentor and support educators in programming, planning and reflective practice.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and child protection.
- Oversee documentation, compliance records and service administration.
- Support occupancy growth through exceptional family engagement and tours.
- Assist with Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) implementation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure children's learning programs align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Promote child-safe practices throughout the service.
Essential Criteria
- Diploma
- Current NSW Working With Children Check.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Previous leadership experience as a Room Leader, Educational Leader, Assistant Director or Nominated Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and National Quality Standard.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire, mentor and motivate a team.
- Strong understanding of child protection and Child Safe Standards.
- Sound computer skills and experience with childcare management software.
- Professional presentation and a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Nominated Supervisor.
- Experience preparing for Assessment and Rating.
- Experience with rostering, compliance and family management systems.
- Knowledge of CCS requirements and operational management.
