Dalray (dalray.com.au) is a Sydney-based limewash paint brand. Our product sells on texture, calm and transformation, and our ads need to feel the same: clean, simple, unhurried. Not like ads. Think interiors and lifestyle brand editing, not dropshipping ads.
The work
One freelance editor, on an ongoing weekly retainer: a set batch of 15–30 second vertical video ads and statics for Meta and TikTok each week, cut from footage we supply - real customer transformation videos, application clips and product shots. No filming. Captions included (most viewers watch muted), delivered ready for Meta Ads Manager.
Guaranteed weekly volume and payment, invoiced weekly. Fully remote, your own tools and hours. You'll need an ABN.
The style: Soft, natural, minimal. Shots can breathe; the transformation and the texture are the stars. Colour must stay true to life, we sell paint colours, so no saturation boosts, filters or heavy grading. No flashy transitions, zoom-punches, emoji captions. If your showreel is fast cuts and glitch effects, this won't be a fit.
How we'll hire
Shortlisted applicants receive our full brief (reference ads, brand colours, fonts, footage link) and complete one paid test ad at your quoted rate.
To apply, include all five:
- A link to the ad you've edited that's closest to our brand and product - interiors, homewares, renovation or lifestyle. If it ran as a paid ad, say so and where. One great match beats ten showreel links.
- An example cut from client-supplied phone footage (not a studio shoot) - our raw material is real customer iPhone video, and we need to see you can make it look premium.
- Your per-ad rate and variation rate (new hook on an existing edit). We'll build the weekly retainer from these.
- Your realistic turnaround per ad and sustainable ads-per-week alongside your other clients
- One sentence: how would you hook a wall-transformation video for a brand whose whole vibe is calm?
Things that will rule you out fast: portfolios that are all gaming, crypto, dropshipping or talking-head content; AI-generated video presented as edited work; agencies applying as individuals. We want one consistent editor, not a rotating team; and anyone unwilling to hand over project files (winning ads get re-cut into variations, so we own the working files, not just the MP4s).
Pay: $250.00 – $500.00 per week
