The Role
You’ll be behind the machine pulling shots that are as dialled‑in as our sourdough fermentation. But this isn’t a “just pour coffee” gig. We’re looking for a full‑time barista who naturally lifts the energy of the team, helps keep standards sky‑high, and steps up when things get busy. You don’t need a formal supervisor title to lead—you just need that quiet confidence, a can‑do attitude, and a genuine love for making both customers and teammates feel looked after.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
Dialling in, pouring, steaming, and serving exceptional coffee (repeat with a smile, even when there’s a queue out the door)
Mentoring and supporting junior team members on shift—showing them how it’s done without making it feel like a lecture
Keeping an eye on workflow, restocking, cleanliness, and making sure no one is standing around wondering what to do next
Handling customer feedback with grace and solving problems on the fly
Acting as the glue between the front counter and the bakery—because the best days are when coffee and croissants come together perfectly
What We’re Looking For
At least 1–2 years of barista experience (you know your way around a busy machine and you don’t flinch under pressure)
Leadership instincts; you’re the person others naturally look to when the shift gets hectic
A genuine love for people: customers, teammates, even the person who orders a piccolo with oat milk and then changes their mind (we’ve all been there)
Organised, proactive, and calm under fire, because mornings at Fabbrica move fast
Availability for early starts (we’re open from 6am) and weekend shifts
Bonus points if you’re passionate about Italian coffee culture, pastry‑pairing, or just making a damn good flat white
Why You’ll Love It Here
Full‑time hours (so you can actually plan your life)
A team that works hard but doesn’t take itself too seriously
Beautiful pastries within arm’s reach (yes, staff treats are a thing)
The chance to grow your leadership skills without waiting years for a title change
You get to say you work at one of the Inner West’s best new bakeries
Ciao for now, we can’t wait to meet you!
