The Local Doctor is a multi-site GP and Skin Cancer clinic based in Ivanhoe and Diamond Creek looking for motivated, enthusiastic and caring Registered Nurses to join our expanding team. You will be working four days per week with flexability to cover leave. You will support our doctors and give our patients the best outcomes possible. You will enjoy a varied role including:
- Using our skin check equipment (full training provided)
- Assisting with cosmetic treatments
- Assisting with procedures including flaps and grafts
- Health assessments
- Vaccinations: travel and childhood
- e-Health record maintenance
- Stock monitoring and ordering
- Triage of emergency patients
- ECGs
- Iron infusions
- Wound management
- Spirometry
- Ear suction and ear syringing
We are looking for a permanent part time member. You will be flexible in travelling to either of the two sites. You will have:
- Minimum one years’ experience in Nursing;
- a RN qualification
- Hold relevant Professional Registration with AHPRA;
- Computer literacy and familiarity with software programs used within General Practice;
- Emergency Department experience - highly sought after.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Knowledge and/or ability to communicate in a busy business setting;
- Ability to prioritise, organise and perform tasks efficiently;
- Commitment to ongoing training;
- Maintain patient and staff confidentiality at all times;
- Flexibility to meet the operating hours of the Practice.
