Salary: $80,000 per year plus superannuation
Third Angle Engineering is a steel fabrication and general engineering company based in Dandenong South, Victoria. We provide custom steel fabrication, manufacturing, and installation services to the building, mining, and bulk materials handling industries.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Welder to join our growing team.
Key Duties
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Prepare, measure and cut steel and other metal materials.
- Shape and assemble metal components using hand and power tools.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high standard.
- Fabricate and weld structural steel and other metal products.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Grind, finish and clean completed work.
- Operate fabrication and welding equipment safely.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
About You
- At least 2 years or more of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with MIG and TIG welding in a commercial or industrial environment.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication.
- Ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Good measuring and fabrication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A reliable work ethic and commitment to workplace safety.
- Physical fitness to carry out manual work.
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
- Police check
