About the Role
As the Draftsperson at Southern Cross Water, you will play a key role in supporting the engineering team and broader business by producing accurate, high-quality drawings across a diverse range of projects, including civil, rural, commercial, and domestic water storage works. This role can be based at either our Withcott or Bowen Hills office.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering concept, workshop, and structural detail drawings, ensuring all outputs meet required standards, are delivered on time, and are free from errors. You will work closely with management and internal stakeholders to coordinate project documentation and support successful project delivery.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Produce concept, workshop, and structural drawings using AutoCAD and Revit to support water storage design and project delivery
- Ensure drawings are accurate, compliant with standards, and delivered on time to avoid rework
- Maintain project documentation and drawing registers, ensuring information is up to date and accessible
Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate documentation and support efficient project outcomes

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualifications in drafting, design, or a related technical field
- Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD and Revit to produce accurate technical drawings, ideally within water storage, construction, or engineering environments
- The ability to interpret architectural and engineering documentation and translate this into high-quality designs
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage deadlines and deliver error-free work
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders
