Job summary..
We are seeking applications from motivated hospitality professional to fill a Full-Time role as the Tabatinga Venue Manager. The ideal candidate is someone with a passion for hospitality, leadership and enjoys being around children. As the Venue Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Tabatinga venue and creating an environment where both the kids in our local community and team members love to be.
This is a hands-on role that combines people management, operational excellence and commercial performance. You'll ensure the venue runs safely, efficiently and profitably while delivering exceptional customer experiences every day.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Overseeing daily venue operations including open/ close schedule, cafe, parties & school holiday events.
- Manage a small team of Party Co-Ordinators and Party Hosts to deliver amazing & memorable party experiences.
- Hands on Café and Kiosk sales using POS.
- Ensuring compliance with the WHS Act, FSANZ and other relevant Legislation.
- Staff performance management, training, coaching and appraisals in line with Team Handbook, Club policy & procedure.
- Exceptional customer service, meet & greet and handling complaints.
- Maintain strict venue hygiene & presentation standards at all times.
- High level of cash handling, time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Stock take, ordering, receipt and rotate using FIFO methods, hygienic food handling & food safe practices.
- Assist to plan school holiday activities , marketing initiatives and regularly review cafe menu offerings.
- Championing our culture both personally and through our Culture Champions Reward & Recognition Program.
- Attendance and contribution to team & management meetings.
- Administrative duties i.e. Shift, Accident, Incident & Staff reporting
About you..
- Tertiary Hospitality Management qualifications (or equivalent proven experience).
- Minimum of 2-3years in a Cafe Supervisor/Manager role, (ideally in a Kids Play/Party environment).
- Leadership qualities, ability to inspire, motivate and develop the team.
- Ability to assess, make quick decisions and delegate in an environment with conflicting priorities.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Australian National Police & WWC Checks (willing to acquire)
- Senior First Aid & Food Safety Supervisor certificates
- Available to work Tue-Sat 0900-1700 (Some Sundays may be required, Closed Monday)
- Own reliable car is essential.
