Walkabout Creek Café is searching for experienced and energetic cafe staff to join our vibrant venue located within the stunning natural surrounds of Enoggera Reservoir at The Gap. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-established café while enjoying a unique workplace surrounded by native wildlife, walking trails, and breathtaking scenery.
Working alongside Cuisine on Cue and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services, you'll play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences and supporting a diverse range of events.

About the Role
As a Café Team Member , you'll be part for the smooth day-to-day operation of Walkabout Creek Café while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Daily café operations
· Deliver exceptional customer service and guest experiences
· Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and efficiency
· Train, mentor, and motivate team members
· Conduct opening and closing procedures
· Perform POS and cash handling duties
· Oversee inventory management, stock control, and cost management
· Assist with venue preparation and event setup
· Work closely with the Venue & Events Team to deliver weddings, celebrations, and private functions
· Coordinate event operations, including room layouts, table settings, and bar setups
· Build strong relationships with the Walkabout Creek Sales Team and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services

· Casual
· Weekend availability is preferable, but not essential
About You
We're looking for a hands-on cafe team who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
You'll Bring:
- Extensive barista experience
- Proven hospitality leadership experience
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail and professional presentation
- A positive, energetic, and proactive attitude
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a café or restaurant management role
- Current RSA certification
