Strait Link is looking for a Graduate Pricing Analyst to join our Commercial Pricing team in Port Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for data, commercial decision-making, and problem-solving.
In this role, you'll work closely with our Pricing Manager and collaborate with Sales, Operations and Finance to support pricing analysis, cost modelling, tenders, customer reviews, and reporting. You'll help turn data into insights that support profitable growth and informed business decisions.
- Support pricing analysis for tenders, customer reviews, new business opportunities and contract renewals.
- Assist in developing and maintaining pricing models, templates and reporting tools.
- Analyse costs, volumes, margins and key operational metrics to support commercial decision-making.
- Gather, validate and interpret data from multiple business systems.
- Monitor revenue, margin and volume trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepare clear and meaningful reports, insights and pricing recommendations for stakeholders.
- Support pricing governance through accurate documentation, approvals and version control.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and enhancement of pricing processes and reporting.
- Develop an understanding of logistics operations, freight services and customer pricing structures.
You are naturally curious, analytical and enjoy solving problems using data. You have a keen eye for detail and are eager to build a career in commercial pricing, business analysis or logistics.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy working with numbers, and are comfortable communicating with stakeholders across different areas of the business.
- Completed or near-completed tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organise, interpret and present data effectively.
- Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and challenge assumptions.
- Exposure to pricing, commercial analysis, finance, logistics or supply chain through internships, graduate programs, university projects or prior employment.
- Experience using Excel for modelling, reporting or analysis.
- Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, SQL, D365 or similar reporting and analytics tools.
