Due to continued growth, increased participant intake, and expanding service delivery across regional and culturally diverse communities, the organisation requires a dedicated ICT Business Analyst to support, optimise, and maintain its operational and compliance systems.
Position Purpose
The ICT Business Analyst position is a genuine full-time role required to ensure that the organisation’s ICT systems effectively support:
- NDIS service delivery, funding, and claiming processes Regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and reporting obligations Participant data management and safeguarding requirements Efficient coordination of services across metro, regional, and remote locations
The role is critical to bridging operational needs with technical solutions, ensuring systems are fit-for-purpose within a regulated disability services environment.
Key Duties:
Consult with internal stakeholders to identify, analyse, and document business processes and system requirements
- Elicit and define business and functional requirements using structured methodologies Analyse and evaluate existing ICT systems, including CRM, rostering, and NDIS-related platforms, to identify gaps and inefficiencies Develop and document functional specifications, process models, and system workflows Translate business requirements into technical solutions and system enhancements Liaise between operational teams and ICT developers/vendors to ensure accurate implementation Conduct system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate functionality against requirements Support system implementation, upgrades, and ongoing optimisation Produce reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making and compliance reporting Ensure systems align with: o NDIS funding, claiming, and reporting requirements o NDIS Practice Standards and audit requirements o Privacy, confidentiality, and data protection obligations
NDIS-Specific Responsibilities
- Support ICT systems used for NDIS participant management, service delivery tracking, and billing Ensure accurate capture and reporting of data required for NDIS audits and compliance reviews Improve system capability to support incident reporting, risk management, and safeguarding Assist in maintaining systems that enable continuity of care in regional and remote areas Contribute to system improvements that enhance accessibility and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants Provide guidance and training to staff on correct system usage aligned with NDIS policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Business, or a closely related field Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as an ICT Business Analyst Strong knowledge of: o Business analysis frameworks and documentation o Requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement o Process modelling and system analysis Experience working with enterprise systems, CRM platforms, or case management systems Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Essential Experience (Visa & NDIS Alignment)
- Demonstrated experience performing duties – ICT Business Analyst Experience supporting ICT systems within: o NDIS, disability services, healthcare, or similarly regulated environments Understanding of: o NDIS funding, claiming, and compliance frameworks o Data governance and reporting requirements Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including operational and technical teams Ability to support service delivery across regional or distributed environments
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities Exposure to NDIS audit processes or Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements Experience delivering staff training and system implementation support
