Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Certificate III in Community Services or Cert III in Individual Support or other relevant qualifications are highly regarded.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Have or are willing to obtain a Disability worker Screening card with a blue card.
- Current driver's license
- Own car and comprehensive car insurance.
- Previous experience in working with people with disabilities is beneficial
- Previous experience working independently AND within a team is beneficial
Responsabilities
- Provide support and personal care to participants with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
- Understand and provide appropriate care to particapants with low needs to particapants with high needs who demonstrate a range of challenging behaviours
- Assisting with activities relating to daily living, community support, and empowerment
- Work under general guidance from the personnel seeking support, and their family, within clearly defined guidelines
- Be a part of an on-call roster.
- Ensure prompt and clear communication between yourself and office/management staff.
Pay: $37.00 – $46.00 per hour
