Are you a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment? We’re searching for an experienced and caring Assistant Practice Manager to join our friendly, close-knit team at a well-established medical practice on Bribie Island that will soon be undergoing expansion.
As Assistant Practice Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of our operations - leading the front desk, supporting your team, and keeping things running seamlessly alongside the Practice Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with day-to-day operations such as rostering, billing, and practice admin
- Driving continuous improvement and finding smarter ways to work
- Opening and closing the centre, ensuring safe and efficient procedures
- Training, mentoring, and developing team members
- Fostering a positive, professional, and supportive team culture
- Maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and health regulations
- Assisting with the retrofit of the practice and liaising with service providers and contractors
What We’re Looking For
- You’re organised, proactive, and people-oriented
- To succeed, you’ll also have:
- Previous leadership or team coordination experience (healthcare preferred but not essential)
- Experience in assisting with the retrofit of a clinical space and the ability to engage with design and building contractors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and calm under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical software systems (preference for Best Practice, Cubico and PRODA experience)
