We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bar Manager/ Supervisor to join our leadership team and help us deliver exceptional experiences for both our valued guests and team.
About the Role
As Bar Manager, you will play a key role in curating and delivering our beverage program while enhancing the guest experience through expert cocktails, beer, wine knowledge, service, and hospitality leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Curate and manage the venue’s cocktail list and beer, spirt offering in collaboration with Venue Management
Develop and maintain a beverage list featuring directly sourced, boutique, eclectic, progressive, classic domestic and international producers
Train and mentor front‑of‑house staff on beer styles, cocktail offerings, flavour profiles, and food pairing recommendations
Lead bar service in the restaurant, ensuring correct presentation and proactive upselling to maximise profitability
Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to design complementary food pairings
Organise and manage stock efficiently, ensuring systems are easy for all staff to follow
Assist with ordering in line with budgetary parameters and financial guidelines
Support the Management Team in upholding company service standards and guest experience expectations
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you must meet one of the following requirements:
A Diploma qualification relevant to hospitality plus at least one year of full‑time relevant work experience, or
At least three years of full‑time relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications
In addition, you will have:
Previous experience as a Bar Manager in a high‑quality restaurant environment
WSET Level 2 or 3 qualifications (highly regarded)
A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
Strong knowledge of domestic and international wines with the ability to pair wine and food creatively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service
