Zanobia is a premium Lebanese dining destination in the heart of Barangaroo, bringing together sophisticated Middle Eastern cuisine, an elevated bar program and exceptional hospitality.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to lead our bar team and help establish Zanobia as one of Sydney’s leading Lebanese dining and bar experiences.
About the Role
As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, performance and development of the bar, ensuring consistently high standards of beverage quality, service and guest experience.
You will work closely with the Venue Manager and senior management team to develop the bar program, manage costs and lead a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train and develop the bar team.
- Oversee daily bar operations and service standards.
- Develop and maintain an innovative cocktail and beverage program.
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all beverages.
- Manage beverage stock levels, ordering and inventory control.
- Monitor beverage costs, wastage and gross profit margins.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with RSA, liquor licensing, WHS and food safety requirements.
- Manage bar opening and closing procedures.
- Prepare staff rosters and manage labour costs.
- Train staff on cocktails, wine, spirits, beer and other beverages.
- Deliver exceptional guest service and handle guest feedback professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional bar environment.
- Assist with events, functions and special beverage activations.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house management teams.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Zanobia’s beverage identity.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager or Senior Bartender in a premium restaurant, bar or hospitality venue.
- Has strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine and contemporary beverage trends.
- Has excellent leadership and team-management skills.
- Understands beverage costing, stock control and inventory management.
- Has a strong commercial understanding of bar operations.
- Is confident working in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
- Has exceptional attention to detail and presentation.
- Is passionate about hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Holds a valid NSW RSA.
- Has full Australian working rights.
