Launch Learning Intervention provides evidence-based literacy and numeracy intervention/tutoring for students who require additional learning support. We work with children who experience difficulties such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, working memory challenges, learning delays, or are simply behind in learning. As an Intervention Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students in building essential skills in reading, spelling, writing and mathematics. You will work with children aged 5-12 years in small groups (2-3) to deliver high-quality, structured lessons (all lessons, resources and training provided) at our clinic in Springwood. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is keen to gain experience to support their studies. Shifts are approximately 3 hours from 2:30 pm, Mon-Thurs.
Role requirements
- Studying Education, Speech Pathology, OT or a qualified teacher aide or allied health assistant
- Reliability, punctuality and a high level of commitment
- Patient and empathetic approach to working with students with diverse needs
- Blue Card or willingness to obtain
- Driver’s license and your own transport to commute to Springwood 4132
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Available 1-2 afternoons per week from 2:30pm during school terms
