About us
Avenues Murarrie is part of a family owned and operated company with 16 centres across Brisbane. Our centre is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from Cannon Hill Plaza and Bus exchange and 10 minute walk from Murarrie train station. We are situated in a quiet street and boast spacious play areas including outdoor areas with lots of natural trees, dirt pits and local birdlife that visit us daily.
Avenues Murarrie care for up to 113 children each day with 8 play rooms across the service catering for Nursery to Kindergarten age groups. We value positive relationships and making the most of each day, enjoying time with our children to explore, investigate and discover.
About the role
$78,000-$83,000 per annum
Avenues Murarrie is seeking a nurturing Full Time Lead Educator to join our team.
We are looking for someone who believes in building bonds with the children, families, and staff to ensure the best outcomes are met through planning and implementing experiences while working as a team.
We believe in having consistency for our families and staff alike so the successful the candidates must have the ability to work 5 days (Monday to Friday).
Skills & requirements
- Minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or ACECQA approve equivalent
- Previous experience as a Lead Educator is preferred
- A current and valid Working with Children's Check (Blue Card)
- Hold a current senior First Aid, CPR & Asthma and Anaphylaxis training certificates
- Have a good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Have a moderate to high level of computer skills in order to use our online programming software
- Proficient in oral and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills (ability to build rapport with families, colleagues, stakeholders and members of the community)
