About the Role
As a Logistics Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient movement of ethanol and molasses across our Bioethanol operations. Based at Sarina Distillery, you will coordinate product transfers, inventory management, stock reconciliations and logistics documentation while working closely with transport providers, customers and internal teams. Your ability to maintain accurate records, monitor stock levels and resolve discrepancies will contribute to the smooth operation of our supply chain activities and inventory control. Role responsibilities
- Coordinate the safe and efficient transport of ethanol and molasses, including scheduling product transfers and monitoring daily logistics activities.
- Manage inventory, stocktakes, and reconciliations to ensure accurate tracking of raw materials and finished products.
- Prepare and maintain logistics documentation, including manifests, reports, invoices, purchase orders, and SAP transactions.
- Liaise with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders to support product movements, fuel sales, and supply chain operations.
- Ensure compliance with site requirements by coordinating driver inductions, maintaining records, and supporting safe operational practices.

You have strong administration and coordination skills, are confident using systems such as SAP and Excel, and thrive on keeping things running smoothly. A proactive communicator and natural problem-solver, you take pride in building strong relationships and delivering accurate, reliable outcomes every day.
Essential Skills
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory control or supply chain operations.
- Strong administration and data management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with carriers, customers and internal teams.
- A proactive, safety-focused approach and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced operational environment.
Desirable
- Experience working within a logistics, transport, warehousing or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods handling and transport by road and/or maritime regulations.
- Tertiary qualifications, or currently undertaking further study in logistics, supply chain, business or a related field.
- Experience using inventory management systems, databases and reporting tools.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to enhance processes and efficiencies
