Technology Change Analyst
Your new team:
Our Technology Change Control team sits within the Production Systems department of Auto & General's Technology division. We are the guardians of operational resilience — ensuring that every technical change is assessed, governed, and implemented with precision. Working closely with the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and technical teams across the business, we play a critical role in protecting our infrastructure, minimising disruption, and keeping A&G on the path to becoming Australia's best insurer.
The role:
As a Technology Change Analyst, you'll sit at the intersection of IT governance and technical delivery — owning the end-to-end management of change requests while providing essential support to the CAB. Your work directly safeguards the stability and resilience of A&G's IT environment, ensuring every change is assessed, documented, and executed with rigour and precision.
-
Receive, log, triage, and manage incoming change requests, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and appropriate escalation
-
Prepare agendas, materials, and minutes for CAB meetings; track decisions, distribute outcomes, and follow up on action items
-
Assist in assessing risk and developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans for proposed technical changes
-
Support change impact analysis across IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, collaborating with technical teams to validate assessments
-
Communicate change-related information clearly to stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences, managing expectations throughout the change lifecycle
-
Track KPIs and prepare regular change management performance reports, contributing data for continuous improvement initiatives
-
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of change requests, approvals, and implementations, ensuring compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements
-
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of change management processes, including automation opportunities and CAB operations
What experience you'll bring:
-
3+ years of experience in change control, change coordination, IT general control auditing, or a hands-on technical IT role
-
Experience with ITIL change management or change enablement processes — highly desirable
-
Experience working with ServiceNow's ITSM platform — highly desirable
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess technical risk, identify dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
-
Exceptional attention to detail with a meticulous approach to documentation, record-keeping, and process adherence
-
Strong organisational and time-management skills; proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
-
Familiarity with APRA prudential standards and regulatory compliance obligations — advantageous
-
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent experience
