Responsibilities and Duties
- Follow approved menus and standard recipes; complete all related prep to guideline standards
- Contribute to menu planning and development (seasonal dishes, costing, portion standards)
- Plate, garnish, and quality-check dishes before they go to the pass (presentation, temperature, portion)
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation at all stations at all times
- Accurately maintain HACCP records (e.g., temperature logs, cleaning schedules)
- Comply with nutrition, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Foster a respectful, cooperative team environment
Experience and Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Able to cook dishes by following recipes in a timely manner during service
- Good communication skills and teamwork
- Knowledge of international cuisines and confidence following standard recipes
- Experience using modern kitchen equipment
- Experience contributing to menu planning and/or training junior staff (preferred)
- Culinary-related education or certificate (preferred)
