Employment type: Temporary Appointment up to 12 months
Salary: $99,938 - $110,271 pa + Leave Loading + Superannuation
Shift Times: Must be able to undertake shift work – The unit operates 5 days a week on a 28-day roster. Shifts as follows: A watch – 7am-3pm, A watch – 10am-6pm, D watch – 11:00am-7:00pm, C watch 2pm-10pm
Your Role:
The Senior Sentence Management Operations Officer performs administration and records management functions and services that pertain to the detention and release of inmates, either as part of a team or individually.
The role performs core processing work within a Sentence Management Operations business unit, which may include liaison with external and internal stakeholders, data integrity checking/entry and ensuring all custodial and non-custodial court orders are recorded accurately on the CSNSW database.
These positions are front line positions and are essential in ensuring CSNSW meets the required obligations to legally detain and release offenders in line with NSW and Federal legislation.
What you’ll do:
Deliver high-quality services independently or within a team to meet business needs and comply with legislation, policies, and procedures.
Respond to enquiries promptly and professionally, escalating issues where required.
Apply administrative systems and processes to maintain accurate, secure, and accessible information.
Maintain and improve office systems and procedures to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service delivery.
Collect and compile information to support reporting, performance requirements, and management needs.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide advice on sentence administration processes and procedures.
Qualifications Required:
Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role.
Experience Required:
Self-motivated, multitask skills and robust communication
Strong technical skills which will help plan and prioritise work to achieve positive outcomes for the team
a true team player with the ability to work well under pressure whilst providing support and supervision to your team in a high-volume work environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience working in structured environments where compliance and accurate record keeping are essential
Knowledge of NSW Justice system and/or relevant qualifications are highly desirable
