About the role
We are a light vehicle car workshop operating since 2016. Onestop Cars Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified mechanic to join our team and car workshop at Molendinar, Gold Coast due to expanding businesses and clientele.
This full-time role will involve working on a variety of light motor vehicles to service and repair to bring the vehicle up to quality and road safety standards.
Job scope for the mechanic;
- Diagnosis and fault-finding in vehicles for a wide variety of car makes and models with EFI diagnostic equipment;
- Carry out quality service and repairs of new and used vehicles (including oil changes, engine tune-ups and brake checks);
- Source and replace worn/faulty car parts and components;
- Tyres and wheel-balancing;
- Inspect and test cars to issue certs for roadworthiness;
- Maintain records of work completed;
- Support in training and supervision of future apprentices and current workers in the workplace;
Work Qualifications:
- A minimum of Certificate 4 or Diploma certificate completed in an Australian Automotive Mechanical course;
- At least 1 year’s full-time relevant job experience in repairing European branded vehicles;
- Be able to complete tasks independently;
- A good team worker with high level of communication skills;
- Must be able to converse in Mandarin as a majority of our clientele are Chinese-speaking customers;
- Ability to detect and solve problems with the diagnosis machine and experience with all car workshop equipment.

We are looking for a general motor mechanic who is able to start work with us immediately with minimal supervision, and who can deliver consistent quality work and enjoys and loves working with cars just like we do.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
