About you:
We are looking for caring, experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant/ Cook to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Assist the Chef with meal preparation, cooking and plating.
- Prepare ingredients and follow recipes, menus and dietary requirements.
- Assist with special diets and texture-modified meals as required.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served safely and on time.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Assist with stock rotation, storage and minimising food waste.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Work collaboratively with the Chef and kitchen team.
- Support a positive dining experience for residents.

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant food preparation qualification.
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience.
- Food safety and hygiene knowledge.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, organised and able to work in a busy environment.
- Aged care kitchen experience is desirable.
