The Opportunity
As the Senior Stores Person, you will always demonstrate day-to-day activities and productivity of the team, ensuring efficient inventory management and order processing. You'll be a key player in supporting the stores team providing guidance and training and ensuring smooth operations. This is a full-time position reporting to the Stores Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve:
Demonstrating and mentoring the stores team
Overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
Monitoring stock levels and conducting regular cyclic counts and stocktakes
Ensuring accuracy in the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods
Handling order processing, from placement to picking and packing
Addressing customer inquiries and resolving team conflicts
What Makes You a Great Fit
A strong background in warehousing and leadership
Excellent communication and organizational skills
The ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently
Strong problem-solving skills
Knowledge of inventory management principles and software
A valid Forklift License
Physical fitness and the ability to lift 15-20kg
Experience with MRP & ERP systems is essential, and an HR Licence is a plus!
