The Opportunity
Veris currently have an opportunity for an experienced, client-focused geotechnical engineer to join our Spatial Insights & Solutions team. The role is focused on building client relationships, identifying and securing new work opportunities, and supporting the continued growth of our Underground Insights service offering.
This is a growth and leadership role with the opportunity to help shape and expand our capabilities across geophysics, geotechnical and broader subsurface investigative services, building on Veris’ established geospatial strengths in GPR, underground utility investigation, surveying and management of spatial data.
You will provide technical and market leadership, helping us expand our investigative capabilities and bringing together technology, technical expertise and spatial data to solve increasingly complex client challenges.

About You
- You are a client-facing professional with a strong commercial mindset and an understanding of geophysics, geotechnical investigation, subsurface mapping and related geospatial services. You are confident engaging with clients to understand their needs, identify opportunities and connect them with the right technical solutions.
- You have a proven ability to build strong client relationships, develop new business and convert opportunities into work. You understand the value of accurate subsurface information and spatial data in supporting infrastructure, development and construction outcomes, and can confidently communicate the benefits of these services to clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in geophysics, subsurface mapping, underground utilities, surveying, spatial or related technical consulting would be highly regarded. Most importantly, you bring the commercial drive, relationship-building skills and curiosity to help grow an established service offering into new clients, markets and sectors.
- You will bring the leadership and curiosity to help grow an established Underground Insights business while also helping shape the next generation of Veris’ investigative capabilities in NSW and nationally.
