Key Areas of Responsibility
> Assist in daily operations of the OOSH and School Holiday programs, ensuring the program always
meets all regulatory requirements
> Support in leading and mentoring staff, ensuring professional development and team cohesion.
> Assist in planning and leading team meetings to support the team to critically reflect on our practices
and to support our commitment to continuous improvement.
> Always ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework and National Regulations.
> Develop and maintain a child safe environment, physically and in any online capacity as required.
Leadership and Management
> With Guidance from the Director of OOSH Programs
> Lead and oversee daily operations of the OOSH and School Holiday Programs, ensuring the program
always meets regulatory requirements
> Lead and mentor staff, ensuring professional development and team cohesion
> Plan and lead team meetings to support the team to critically reflect on its practices and commitment
to continuous improvement.
> Consistently comply with the National Qualify Framework and National Regulations
> Maintain accurate records and reporting using systems such as OWNA
> Develop and maintain a child safe environment, physically and in any online capacity.
Educational Program Delivery
> Develop, design and implementation of age-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging Christian programs
> Promote children’s wellbeing, creativity, leisure time and social improvement
> Ensure programs reflect the Christian values and support spiritual growth
Family and Community Engagement
> Build strong, positive relationships with families and the wider school community.
> Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child’s development and wellbeing
> Communicate and collaborative with teachers to ensure consistency in supporting children in the
program and supporting a positive transition between school and the program.
Administration and Compliance
> Assist in the management of enrolments and orientation of new children and families into the program
> Ensure all policies and procedures are followed, including child protection and risk management.
> Support the development of risk assessments as required to support all aspects of play, leisure and
learning.
Work Health and Safety
> Follow Work Health and Safety instructions and policies.
> Report accidents and hazards.
> General care for their own safety and that of others, including students, volunteers and parents, that
may possibly be affected by actions or inaction
