This role combines the leadership, facilitation, and delivery focus of a Scrum Master with the analytical and stakeholder engagement expertise of a Business Analyst. You will play a critical role in driving successful outcomes across agile delivery teams, ensuring business needs are understood, prioritised, and translated into value-driven solutions.
As a trusted advisor, you will foster a high-performing team environment, promote Agile best practices, and help teams navigate complex organisational challenges while maintaining a strong focus on delivery, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements through stakeholder workshops, interviews, and collaborative discovery sessions.
- Translate business needs into high-quality user stories, process models, functional requirements, and clear acceptance criteria that enable successful solution delivery.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring teams remain focused on delivering business value.
- Partner with Product Owners and the wider team to maintain, prioritise, and refine the product backlog, balancing strategic objectives, customer needs, and delivery commitments.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability between business requirements, solution design, testing activities, and intended business outcomes.
- Coach and support delivery teams in Scrum, SAFe, and enterprise agility practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, transparency, and collaboration.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, providing clear communication, managing expectations, and facilitating consensus on complex issues and priorities.
- Use data, evidence, and critical thinking to identify risks, resolve impediments, support decision-making, and provide guidance on governance, audit, and risk-related matters where required.
