ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Team Leader to join our Industrial Sales Coordination team based in Altona North, VIC 3025. This role is ideal for a strong people leader who enjoys coaching teams, improving processes and supporting high-quality customer and operational outcomes across a fast-paced industrial sales environment.
Enjoy the security of this full-time role, working Monday – Friday. Reporting to the relevant Industrial Sales leader, you will oversee day-to-day coordination activity, provide guidance to team members and help ensure sales processes, customer requirements and internal deadlines are delivered to a high standard. This role will require occasional travel as needed to support stakeholders, customers and operational requirements. Your key responsibilities would include:
- Lead daily coordination activity – Oversee workflow, priorities and workload allocation across the Industrial Sales Coordination team to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Coach and support team members – Provide guidance, training and regular support to build capability, maintain standards and encourage a positive team culture.
- Drive sales administration excellence – Monitor the accuracy of asset records, sale documentation, catalogues, pricing support and system updates to ensure quality and consistency.
- Support stakeholders and customers – Act as a key contact for internal teams, vendors and customers, ensuring enquiries, updates and escalations are handled professionally and efficiently. Accurately updating the CRM with Buyer and Vendor interaction and utilise the CRM to inform the appropriate Sales Agents for follow up for future business opportunity
- Improve processes and performance – Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve service delivery and support efficient sales coordination outcomes.
- Maintain reporting and compliance – Support accurate reporting, data integrity and adherence to internal procedures, customer requirements and agreed service standards, including quality checking Industrial assets, descriptions, damage and photos, and providing feedback to operations teams.
- Support sale preparation and operations – Assist with sale preparation, registration issues, minor asset repairs, transport measurements, reviewing Auction Insight reports and other operational requirements as needed.
- Customer Service - Serve as the primary on site contact at your branch for Industrial assets queries, acting as a conduit between the local Operations and Sales/VM teams
- Collaborate across the business – Partner with sales, operations, finance, customer support and other teams to resolve issues, support auction preparation, assist with off-site inspections and auctions as required, and deliver strong commercial outcomes.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong leadership capability, solid sales administration experience and the confidence to support a busy team in a fast-paced environment. You will have:
Previous experience leading, mentoring or coordinating a team within sales administration, operations, customer service or a similar environment will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to coach, guide and motivate team members
- Experience in sales coordination, administration, logistics, operations or a related environment, with knowledge of Industrial assets and a sales or operational background highly regarded
- A genuine interest in trucks, industrial machinery and asset remarketing, with a hands-on approach and practical knowledge to support effective asset management and confident customer and stakeholder engagement
- Willingness to work in challenging conditions e.g. yards, outdoors, heat, rain etc
- Strong organisational skills and confidence using systems and reporting tools, with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and stakeholder expectations while maintaining high attention to detail, data accuracy, quality and compliance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach and confidence building productive relationships with vendors, buyers, internal sales teams, operational staff and other stakeholders
- Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements and support practical solutions
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as required to support business, customer and stakeholder needs
- A current driver’s licence, with the ability to obtain or maintain any additional licences required for the role
