- Hourly Rate: $34.71 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)

About The Role
Cumberland Manor is seeking caring, reliable and motivated Food Services Assistants to join our dedicated hospitality team!
The role will encompass basic kitchen duties, such as:
- Assisting with the preparation, plating and delivery of meals and beverages.
- Providing friendly, respectful and person-centered service to residents.
- Supporting residents' dietary, nutritional and cultural requirements.
- Maintaining food safety and infection control standards.
- Cleaning kitchen, dining and food preparation areas.
- Washing and storing crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
- Working collaboratively with kitchen staff and the wider care team.
In this role, you will also need to:
- Report any changes in consumer dietary habits
- Have knowledge of texture modified foods and fluids; and
- Be aware of documentation regarding consumer dietary requirements, cultural preferences and their likes and dislikes.
About You
The successful applicant will have a passion to care for the elderly and will have an understanding of the elderly and their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. The applicant will also be able to work independently and manage their own responsibilities and workload. They will also be a good communicator, have sound judgment and be willing to learn!
Essential:
- Basic Food Handling Certificate.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- A caring and respectful approach when working with older people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- A current national Police Check
- NDIS screening check
- Up to date COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses) and influenza vaccine
Desirable:
- Previous experience in aged care, hospitality or commercial kitchens.
- Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves standing, walking, lifting, pushing meal trolleys and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
