As our Administration Assistant (Primary School Reception), you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our Primary School. Due to a period of staff leave, we are seeking a friendly and organised professional to join our team and help create a welcoming, caring and professional environment for students, families, staff and visitors while ensuring the efficient delivery of administration and reception services.

About the Role
In this role, the successful applicant will:

Provide professional reception services by welcoming visitors, responding to enquiries and supporting families, students and staff in a friendly and professional manner

Manage daily administrative operations, including correspondence, record keeping, filing, document preparation and maintaining accurate student information

Provide first aid to student injuries and supervise ‘sick bay’, communicating with parents and/or emergency services as necessary

Support student wellbeing and attendance processes by recording absences, maintaining medical information

Coordinate school communications and operational activities, including mail distribution, calendars, staff notifications, appointments and school events

Work collaboratively with staff across the School to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Primary School office and reception area
About You
To be successful in this role you are:

A highly organised administrator with exceptional attention to detail

First Aid qualified and comfortable to regularly provide first aid, prescribed medication and support to students who are unwell

A warm and approachable professional who enjoys helping others

A confident communicator with the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of people, including young people

Able to manage competing priorities while maintaining a calm and professional manner

A collaborative team player committed to delivering outstanding customer service
You Will Also Bring
-
Previous experience in administration, reception or customer service roles, ideally within an educational setting
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication abilities
- Sound to advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook and Excel
- Experience using databases and office management systems, or the ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Eligibility to hold a Blue Card (required prior to commencement)
