About the role
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Operations, the position provides leadership for a number of SIL homes in Western Sydney, supporting clients with complex and challenging behaviours as well as complex medical needs.
You will operationalise Sylvanvale’s strategy to ensure high quality outcomes are achieved for the people we support, by developing and implementing plans and overseeing all operational activities to:
- Maximise the experience and outcomes of the people we support through a person centred, active support framework.
- Ensure a consistent, stable, competent and empowered workforce and a constructive culture.
- Motivate, coach and develop teams to work effectively in a customer centric environment.
- Maintain all quality standards to meet the expectations of the people we support.
- Ensure all service delivery is evidence formed.
- Effectively and efficiently resolve issues, building trust and confidence for the people we support.
- Implement performance monitoring, measurement and evaluation systems to demonstrate best practice.
- Identify, mitigate and manage risk.
- Review data and reporting, analysing to proactively identify trends, opportunities and gaps.
About you

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualification in disability, management or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
- Demonstrated understanding of the support needs of people with a disability and their carers/guardians and a commitment to customer-centred service delivery.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining highly effective teams.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours to meet customer needs.
- Demonstrated budgeting skills and the capacity to interpret financial performance data.
- Ability to work independently, organise competing priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and coordinate a diverse work team.
- Accurate report writing skills with the ability to produce quality reports and submissions.
- Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety policy and risk management processes.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Teams, Office and Power BI.
Mandatory requirements for this role include, a current NSW Drivers Licence, a NDIS Worker Screening Check, a current First Aid Certificate and full Australian Work Rights. An offer will be made subject to a police clearance and a pre-employment medical.
