About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Risk & Governance Advisor to join our Finance & Commercial team based at Springfield Depot.
Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting Metro's governance, risk, audit and compliance functions. Working across the organisation, you'll help maintain governance frameworks, coordinate reporting activities, support audit processes and contribute to the effective management of policies, records, insurance claims and Right to Information (RTI) requests.

Key responsibilities include
- Maintaining risk, compliance and audit registers and ensuring information remains accurate and current
- Coordinating internal and external audit activities and tracking actions to completion
- Supporting governance reporting for leadership, Board and Audit & Risk Committee meetings
- Assisting with policy and procedure management and governance documentation
- Supporting records and information management activities
- Coordinating motor vehicle insurance claims administration
- Assisting with RTI requests and legislative compliance requirements
- Preparing meeting agendas, minutes and action registers
- Building positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Skills, Experience and What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Experience in an administration, governance, risk, compliance or business support role
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working with sensitive and confidential information
- Experience maintaining records, registers, reports or governance documentation
- The ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and guidelines
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Relevant qualifications in administration, governance, business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
