What this opportunity involves:
As a Service Centre Attendant at our Sydney site, you'll be the cornerstone of our day-to-day facilities and business support operations, ensuring our workplace runs smoothly and efficiently. The position supports the Workplace Services Team in delivering our service centre operations and maintaining safe, compliant, and welcoming work environment. Day-to-day, the role balances hands-on service desk coverage in our Service Centre, acting as a visible, customer-facing presence for employees and with a strong focus on vendor and contractor coordination and systems administration. It is office-based five days per week.
An Overview of the role:
Service Centre & Mailroom/Courier Support
Provide Service Centre desk coverage, serving as the primary point of contact for employees, processing incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and courier deliveries in a timely manner, while conducting regular internal mail runs.
Monitor and manage inventory of stationery, business cards, coordinate locker assignments, and management of access cards.
Assist with vendor onboarding, compliance documentation, inductions, and site access coordination.
Assist in monitoring contractor activity on-site, track work orders and service delivery timelines.
Track and report service delivery issues, communicate problems through to resolution, and provide back-up support for records responsibilities when needed
Ensure first aid rooms and first aid kits and equipment are maintained and stocked.
Ensure site and client assets are maintained to high standards whilst ensuring safe and compliant workplaces.
Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for:
Experience in administration or facilities coordination desired but not mandatory.
Competency in Microsoft Office suite and strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
Demonstrated capability to work independently while prioritising multiple activities efficiently and meeting key performance indicators.
Physical ability to undertake manual handling activities and understanding of workplace safety requirements.
Self-motivated and flexible team player who can adapt to rapidly changing situations while maintaining accountability.
