We are seeking an organized and technically minded Fire, Electrical & Plumbing Technical Administrator to join our team in Perth.
This is an office-based role that would ideally suit someone with previous experience as a Fire Technician, Electrician, Plumber, or Service Technician who is looking to transition into an administrative position while continuing to use their technical knowledge.
About the Role
As our Technical Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting our service team by preparing quotations, interpreting information from field technicians, and liaising with suppliers to ensure our clients receive accurate and timely pricing.
You'll be the link between our technicians, suppliers, and customers, ensuring service recommendations are translated into professional quotations and completed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quotations for fire, electrical, and plumbing service work.
- Review technician reports and photographs to provide instructions to independent provider.
- Advise customers regarding the Australian Standards and service recommendations where required.
- Source pricing and availability from suppliers and manufacturers.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates using supplier pricing and labor requirements.
- Liaise with technicians to clarify faults and recommended repairs.
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Maintain accurate job records and documentation.
- Assist with scheduling and other general administrative duties as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in the fire protection, electrical, or plumbing industry.
- Trade qualifications or certificates or experience as a Fire Technician, Electrician, Plumber, or similar (highly regarded).
- The ability to interpret technical reports and photographs.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Technical Knowledge (Preferred)
Experience or understanding of:
- Fire protection systems and routine servicing.
- Fire extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, fire detection, emergency lighting, or sprinkler systems.
- Plumbing maintenance and repairs (desirable but not essential)
- Australian Standards relating to fire protection (desirable but not essential).
